Degrees Offered

Gethsemane Bible Institute is a ministry of Gethsemane Baptist Church located in Walnut Ridge, AR. GBI offers on-campus and online biblical courses at an affordable price. With hundreds of graduates, GBI has students all over the United State and in several foreign countries.

Associate of Biblical Studies

The Associate of Biblical Studies is made up of 16 Bible-based courses and is designed to offer the student a more complete knowledge of God’s Word. The minimum requirement for entrance into the program is a high school diploma or GED. An associate from GBI or equivalent (at President’s discretion) is required for entrance into a bachelor program.

Associate of Theology

The Associate of Theology is made up of 16 Bible-based courses and is tailored to offer the pastor or preacher a more complete knowledge of God’s Word. The minimum requirement for entrance into the program is a high school diploma or GED. An associate from GBI or equivalent (at President’s discretion) is required for entrance into a bachelor program.

Bachelor of Biblical Studies

The Bachelor of Biblical Studies is made up of 16 Bible-based courses and offers an in-depth theological study of God’s Word. The minimum requirement for entrance into the program is an associate degree from GBI or equivalent (at President’s discretion).

Bachelor of Theology

The Bachelor of Theology is made up of 16 Bible-based courses and offers an in-depth theological study of God’s Word as well as practical leadership training for the pastor or preacher. The minimum requirement for entrance into the program is an associate degree from GBI or equivalent (at President’s discretion).

Master of Biblical Studies

The Master of Biblical Studies is designed for the mature Christian serving in a local church. The program is made up of 10 courses and offers an advanced study of the scriptures. A bachelor’s degree from GBI or equivalent (at President’s discretion) is required for enrollment.

Master of Theology

The Master of Theology is designed for the active pastor, evangelist, or missionaries. The program is made up of 10 courses and offers an advanced study of the scriptures as well as advanced ministerial training. A bachelor’s degree from GBI or equivalent (at President’s discretion) is required for enrollment.

Doctor of Theology

Pastors, evangelists, and missionaries interested in furthering their Biblical education after completing a Master of Theology may apply for the doctoral program. The program is made up of 10 research intensive courses designed to offer the student a comprehensive theological knowledge of the scriptures. Students are accepted into the doctoral program at the President’s discretion.
