Bachelor of Theology

The Bachelor of Theology program is designed for the active pastor, evangelist, newly surrendered preacher, or layman with in the local church. The program is largely Bible-based and offers a broad theological and practical foundation as well. As in all of our programs, students may complete the degree at their own pace. The average student completes the program in two years. All of the courses are on CD MP3′s. To enter this program, one must have an Associate Degree or a minimum of 60 college hours.

  • Section I

    • Genesis I (Dr. Collins) – This course covers the creation stage of the book of Genesis, which includes the first eleven chapters.  In this verse by verse study, the instructor takes an in depth look at creation, fall of man, the flood, and the genealogies of Shem, Ham, and Japheth
    • Matthew I (Dr. Robinson) – By the end of the course the student should have a better understanding of the Gospel of Matthew.  The student will see the life and death of the Savior, and will be able to rightly divide from the first and second coming of Christ. This book is divided into two courses.
    • Bible Doctrines I (Dr. Robinson) – This course is taught using a systematic approach to the major doctrines found in the word of God. This study is divided into two courses.
    • Evangelism (Dr. Collins) – By the end of this course the student should have a deeper desire to see the Great Commission fulfilled.  The student will learn different approaches and methods to win the lost to Christ.  The instructor will examine the teachings of other religions in order to better equip the student with the knowledge to lead them to Christ.
    • Manuscript History (Dr. Collins) – This course is designed to help the student of God’s word understand the history of the Bible, as well as, how God divinely preserved it from the original autographs to the Authorized King James version of 1611.  The student will also benefit from both Manuscript evidence on verses and passages that have been attacked by textual critics, and easy explanations to supposed contradictions of the word of God. This course has been a favorite among students.
  • Section II

    • Genesis II (Dr. Collins) – This course covers the patriarchal stage of the book of Genesis, chapters 12-50.  The student will study the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his twelve sons, with great detail given to Joseph, the greatest type of Christ in the Bible.
    • Matthew II (Dr. Robinson) – By the end of the course the student should have a better understanding of the Gospel of Matthew.  The student will see the life and death of the Savior, and will be able to rightly divide from the first and second coming of Christ. This book is divided into two courses.
    • Bible Doctrines II (Dr. Robinson) – This course is taught using a systematic approach to the major doctrines found in the word of God. This study is divided into two courses.
    • Hebrews (Dr. Collins) – This course is a verse by verse study of the book of Hebrews.
    • Pastoral Leadership (Dr. Collins) – By the end of the course the student should have a better understanding of how the pastor is the spiritual leader of the church, and will equip him to better lead the Lord’s church in the right direction.
  • Section III

    • Isaiah I (Dr. Collins) –  This course will examine in detail the first 39 chapters of the book of Isaiah.  Isaiah is considered a major prophet because of the length of his book, and covers such great events as the first and second advents of Christ, as well as, the Tribulation period, the Millennial Kingdom, and many more great prophesies.
    • Homiletics (Dr. Hutson) – By the end of this course the student should have a better understanding of the art of preaching.  The student will learn about constructing sermons from various preaching styles. This course is taught by Dr. Tony Hutson.
    • Acts I (Dr. Collins) – The student will study the primitive New Testament Church and the Apostles that God set over his church in the early stages.  The main Apostles include Peter through Acts chapter 12, and Paul from Acts 13-28.  Also, Acts will be taught as a “transitional book” showing the great transition from the law to grace. This book is divided into two courses.
    • Pastoral Counseling (Dr. Robinson) – The student will be instructed in the use of the Bible in counseling individuals and couples.  The course is designed to give the student academic instruction as well as practical application. Dr. Robinson has over 40 years of experience in this field.
    • Revelation (Dr. Collins) – This course studies the book of Revelation from the Pre-Millennial viewpoint. This is a verse by verse study that includes in-depth teachings on the seven churches of Asia, the rapture, the tribulation period, the second coming of Christ, and the Millennial Kingdom.
  • Section IV

    • Isaiah II (Dr. Collins) – This course will examine the last 27 chapters of the book of Isaiah.  This section gives a better understanding of Jesus Christ from His crucifixion all the way to His millennial kingdom.
    • Acts II (Dr. Collins) – The student will study the primitive New Testament Church and the Apostles that God set over his church in the early stages.  The main Apostles include Peter through Acts chapter 12, and Paul from Acts 13-28.  Also, Acts will be taught as a “transitional book” showing the great transition from the law to grace. This book is divided into two courses.
    • Church History (Dr. Robinson) – This course is a history of the church beginning with its inception by our Lord Jesus Christ and continuing throughout all ages of Church history.
    • Old-Time Religion (Dr. Hutson) – This course covers the different aspects of the Old-Time Religion.
    • Eschatology (Dr. Collins) – This course is a detailed study of the “last days.”
